The aim of this site is to provide as much information as possible on the South Indian Veena, to bring together people who are interested in this instrument, and to publish some research work done on the Veena on the web, where it can be downloaded for free. Anyone who wishes to join, help and contribute is most welcome...                                                                                                        This site is currently under construction. Since its author is French, it was originally designed in this language. However, as most veena players / enthusiasts are Indians or live in the USA or in Britain, we understand how important it is to translate it into English. This is why we have prepared the English version but as this requires considerable work, it may take time... Please forgive us if this has not be completed yet ! We wish to express here all our gratitude to Sandhya Krishnakumar who is giving us a great help in this task.
